Valentine’s Day – where all 24-hours are devoted to pink and red hearts, roses and carnations, and digital cameras?
With Valentine’s Day peeking its head around the corner, it’s time to start worrying about what to buy for that special someone. While most Valentine’s gifts tend to be the traditional heart-shaped box filled with decadent chocolates or a bouquet of red roses for your loved one, fear not tech-lovers, because there is also an plethora of Valentine’s Day gifts that are suited just for you. Of course, they’re still pink and red though.
Fuji Film FinePix – With face detection software for up to ten faces, red-eye removal and 7.2 mega-pixels, this hot pink camera (which comes in a total of seven different colors) will make the perfect Valentine’s gift for a tech-happy special someone. The camera retails for approximately $140 US.
Sony Cyber-shot – Similar to the Fuji Film, the Cyber-shot has face detection software and comes in an array of different colors, including pink. The camera is 8.1 mega-pixels, has a 2.7” touch-screen and comes with 4GB of internal memory, meaning no worrying about memory cards. As well, Sony will include a complimentary Valentine’s engraving. The camera retails for approximately $350 US.
iPod Nano – Just a few months after introducing their line of re-vamped iPods, Apple has introduced a brand-new hot pink version of the iPod Nano just in time for Valentine’s Day. The new Nano comes with a 2” screen and either 4GB or 8GB memory, or about 1,000-2,000 songs. It is also able to play up to 5 hours videos with a full battery charge, or 24 hours of audio. As well, similar to the Sony camera, Apple has complementary engraving on all of their iPods. The 8GB model retails for $199 US.
Creative ZEN Vision - The Creative MP3 player comes with 30GB (or 60GB for an extra $50), which can hold as many as 15,000 songs. It comes in a variety of colors including pink, green and black. It also has the capability to hold 240 hours of video on it’s 2.5” screen. As well, the battery holds a charge of 17 hours when listening to audio, or 5 hours of video play. It comes in a variety of colors, including light pink. The ZEN retails for $250 US.
While these are just a few of the possible pink-and-red gifts available for Valentine's Day, there are all kinds of other tech-happy gifts around. Since there seems to be a lot more electronics around now that come in a variety of different colors, it won't be hard to find pink or red laptops, cell phones or even televisions that would make a perfect holiday gift.
