You are always right!

Yes, in some of the best Sushi restaurants they have this speciality, which is raw chicken. However, it is cooked on the outside and the inside is raw. So think of a rare roast beef, something along those lines.Or the carpaccio which the Italians adore!

As you know Japan can sometimes be a "freak" in hygene, so only certain restaurants which are certified, are allowed to prepare this chicken, just like the poisonous blow fish.

So, if you go to Japan, and are offered raw chicken, think of it as a great honour that you were invited to an exclusive restaurant!

I think, whether it's raw meat or any type of food which one is usually not accustomed to, one should definately try it once! you never know, you may love it! and as I say the best way to get to know a country and its culture is through its cuisine!! so enjoy!
