» Moonlady - some best books on China
There are so many books on China. But good ones are difficult to find. Out of several hundreds books, I recommend the following:1. China's Global Reach: Markets, Multinationals, and Globalization by George Zhibin Gu
My review: It is arguably best book on China and current global affairs. It is written by a high-profile Chinese commentator. Its style and presentation is easy to read. Full of powerful insights on China.
2. 1587: A Year of No Significance by Ray Huang
My review: It is one very best book on Chinese history, which offers a case study of Ming China. Reads like a novel.
3. China A Macro History by John Fairbank
It is a well-written textbook, but its style and depth are not as good as the above two books.
